Miss Molly’s Chincoteague Island Bed and Breakfast welcomes guests from just about everywhere. Many of our guests come from urban areas, in particular Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington D.C. They like it here because it’s easy to connect with nature on Assateague and Chincoteague Islands.
Scenic cruises are a favorite activity for guests spring through fall. They’re a wonderful way to see the islands and discover the abundant wildlife that makes its home here.
If you’re interested in circumnavigating Assateague Island, taking a sunset cruise or spending an afternoon on a nature tour, let us know. Our concierge service will make all of the arrangements for you; you need only let us know what you would like to do and when you would like to do it.
We recommend the following Chincoteague Island scenic cruises:
- Daisey’s Nature Cruises with Captains Tom and Ted Daisey. The Daisey family were among the first settlers of Chincoteague, and Tom and Ted know these waters better than their own hands. They have a deep appreciation for the land, the water, and the animals that live here. They know the most likely spots to find dolphin, bald eagles, and the wild ponies of Assateague. The Sunset Cruise is very romantic.
- Spider’s Explorer Pontoon Cruises specialize in “Around the Island” tours. There are never more than 6 passengers during these two hour cruises around Chincoteague Island. You’ll learn about waterfowl, the Wild Ponies of Assateague, sea turtles, dolphins, and more.
- Island Cruises is another excellent organization. Captain Carlton Leonard has been negotiating the waters around Chincoteague Island for most of his life. He and the other captains are seasoned eco-guides; they are also witty and personable. These tours are always fun.
Scenic cruises make a delightful addition to a Chincoteague Island Bed and Breakfast getaway at Miss Molly’s.
