Everyone loves a good story and the more talented the teller, the better the tale. Talented storytellers can even make the most mundane re-telling extraordinary. You’ll have a chance to experience some of the best, at the 2017 Chincoteague Storytelling Festival.
The Chincoteague Storytelling Festival isn’t all passive listening to tales. Perhaps the only thing better than hearing a good story is spellbinding an audience with one of your own! Everyone has a story to tell and the festival features a number of workshops centered around learning how to effectively spin that yarn.
Events at the Chincoteague Storytelling Festival are scheduled to occur all around town. Main venues include the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance (CCA), the Chincoteague Island Arts Organization (CIAO) Annex, and the Methodist Church. There are also events at the Chincoteague Library and the Island Theatre.
